I would like to introduce you to my new blog series ‘Say YES to..’ where I will write about the things I am accepting into my life that I love and would like to share.
YES is a powerful word, when used with loving intention it can open doors to opportunities and magic. Aligned with this, sometimes even a mindful ‘no’ can open up the space for an abundance of YES!
Do you have a product, book, practice or piece of advice that you think I might want to say YES to?

Have you signed up to Yoga Glo yet?
I recently discovered Yoga Glo, admittedly as a bit of a late comer since the site has been around since 2008. The website popped up in my twitter feed via my friend Ruby about a month ago when I was in the USA. It is a site dedicated to online classes of Yoga and Meditation and I immediately signed up thinking it would be perfect for some sort of exercise and routine whilst I was traveling around.
The site was founded by Derik Mills with intention to create a global community of teachers and students from all over the world who could practice with great teachers from the comfort of their own homes.
I can honestly say there is something for everyone. One of the great things about Yoga and Meditation is that you only need to practice for 5 minutes if you wish, and you will notice a difference. These moments really help you connect to the present, which is after all, where we want to be.
YOGA & MEDITATION
- There are 9 different Yoga styles and over 20 teachers. From Hatha Yoga to Kundalini.
- Classes last from 5 minutes to 120 minutes.
- There are three levels of practice, from beginners to advanced and sometimes a mix between.
- There are classes with just a tutor, and there are classes where you are part of a group.
- You can search for classes based on time, theme, level and tutor.
- The classes are subject focused, with all topics from Yoga stretching for sport to relaxing before bed, Meditations for stressed out parents to breathing your way to a better self esteem.
- There is a Yoga Glo ‘Teen’ section for introducing your teenagers to Yoga practice.
AN AMAZING STRUCTURE
When you sign up you get to start creating your own timetable. You can save classes, you can schedule classes and your classes are all tracked so you can see your progress, you can even create your own goal system if you like. If you choose, the site will send you reminders of your scheduled classes via email.
If you are an organization nerd (hey Virgo!) you will LOVE it, and if you are like me with a sometimes scattered sense of day to day then you will also love it because it makes organizing completely effortless.
THE FINER DETAILS
Yoga Glo costs $18 per month. When you first sign up you get a two week free trial. I signed up and within a few days of practice I knew that this was a serious bargain. I’m hooked.
I have only dipped my toe in the vast selection and it does depend on what you feel like you want, I’m pretty keen to give everything a try and the first Yoga class I tried was a warm up for Surfers.. and I am probably the last person to want to go surfing. Turns out it’s now on my saved list. Wetsuit here I come..

Pre Surf Stretch – Vinyasa Flow with Tiffany Cruikshank – This gets your blood moving, a great energiser.
Morning Oil with Amy Ippoliti – 10 minutes, perfect for stiff muscles.
Steady Hatha Yoga with Darren Rhodes – This is a 45 minute session, great for the morning, a steady practice with a lot of variations for different levels.
Invigorating Hatha Yoga start to the day with Darren Rhodes – This is a 15 minute session, perfect for when you have less time in the morning, the poses are quicker and this really wakes you up!
I like Darren, he speaks clearly and describes all the poses well, you feel like he is there with you in the room and it’s perfect for beginners.
Morning Yoga with Jason Crandell – Another 45 minute session for the morning, this one is perfect for when you feel really creaky and really need to stretch and roll yourself awake.
Evening Anusara Yoga with Marc Holzman – 30 minutes to stretch out the day so you are ready to snooze.
Meditation favourites so far
I only tried the meditations on this site for the first time this week so only have looked at these two. I will let you know as I try some of the longer and more intermediate ones.
Yoga Nidra with Kia Miller – A great 15 minute guided meditation to relax every muscle in the body. Through this you will also learn one of the keys to totally relaxing is to relax your tongue.. sounds crazy but it’s totally true!
Loving Kindness with Sally Kempton – A very short breathing meditation with perhaps the loveliest mantra I have ever used. I’ll leave you to go and try it. I have to tell you that in less than a minute of this I had some of the clearest messages from spirit I have had for a while, so I would say it is perfect for connecting to your inner guide too.
Go and check it out and let me know what you think!
P.S No this is not a sponsored post.. I just think this site is awesome.
